Ingredients:

- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg (plus extra for sprinkling)

- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1 ¼ cups white sugar

- ¾ cup butter, softened

- ½ cup eggnog

- 2 egg yolks

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation:

1. Gather all ingredients and preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).

2. In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Set aside.

3. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.

4. Add the eggnog, egg yolks, and vanilla extract. Beat at medium speed until smooth.

5. Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing at low speed until just combined.

6. Drop spoonful of dough about 1 inch apart onto ungreased baking sheets.

7. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.

8. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

9. Allow the cookies to cool briefly on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
